PocketLens Privacy Note
Last updated: August 29, 2026. This note explains the privacy practices for PocketLens: PDF Scanner, designed by Cywinski Digital.
Short version
PocketLens stores scans and recognized text locally on your device. It does not require an account, run advertising or analytics SDKs, or upload your documents to Cywinski Digital. Subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store.
Documents and recognized text
Scanned images, imported PDF pages, titles, organization choices, and OCR text are stored in the app’s local container. OCR, filters, summaries when supported by the device, and exports are processed on device. PocketLens does not transmit this content to a Cywinski Digital server.
Camera, Photos, and Files
Camera access is used only when you start a document scan. The iOS photo picker gives PocketLens access only to images you select. The Files picker gives access only to a PDF you choose; a third-party or cloud file provider may download that selected file according to its own privacy terms before PocketLens imports it locally.
Sharing and exports
When you choose Send, PocketLens creates the requested PDF, Word, or text file locally and gives it to the iOS share sheet. You choose the receiving app or person. PocketLens does not receive a copy of the shared file, but the destination you select applies its own privacy practices.
Accounts and analytics
PocketLens does not require a user account or collect an email address, password, location, contacts, microphone data, advertising identifier, analytics events, or crash telemetry. The current app build contains no third-party SDKs.
Subscriptions and payments
PocketLens Pro monthly and yearly subscriptions are purchased through Apple’s StoreKit. Apple processes payment information, receipts, renewal status, and cancellation. Cywinski Digital does not receive or store payment-card information. Manage a plan in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions.
Deleting data
Delete an individual scan inside PocketLens to remove its stored images and recognized text. Deleting the app removes its remaining local documents, subject to normal device backups managed by Apple.
Support contact
If you email support, your email address, message, and any attachment you choose to send are used to answer the request or investigate the issue. Do not include confidential document content unless it is necessary and you intend to share it.
Future changes
If a future PocketLens version adds cloud storage, accounts, server processing, advertising, analytics, or another material data practice, this page and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated before that version is submitted.
